Attempted Robbery

So last Friday night someone apparently tried to break into the pharmacy. What a wonderful world we live in huh? Im guessing the fools that tried to get in didnt realize that what they were trying to get through was bullet proof. They just kept chucking huge rocks at the window....didnt even come close to getting through the bullet proof stuff. (That first pane is just regular glass) An old co-worker of mine, who is now in Pharmacy school in Atlanta just told me she was robbed at gun point in the pharmacy last month. And another store in Chandler this week was robbed at gun point, luckily the police showed up and after a chase arrested the dudes. I feel like its only a matter of time before my store gets robbed. Ive now had 2 coworkers get robbed at gun point in the pharmacy, and my sister had one too when she worked at walgreens. Thank goodness she wasnt working that day.

Valentines Day Weekend

Biggest jacuzze Ive ever seen!

Well Im finally getting around to posting a blog about mine and Randy's Valentines Day weekend. Randy and I had a trip planned to go to California but since those plans were canceled, Randy wanted to do something special for me so he booked us a room at Pointe Hilton Resort in Phoenix where we stayed for 2 nights. He took me to dinner at my favorite restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory, which was only a 40 minute wait thank goodness. We layed out by the pool, did some jacuzzeing (I made up that word I think) and also did some shopping at the outlets in Anthem. It was a great, relaxing, much needed get away. Randy is the sweetest guy I know, he always knows what to do to make me happy and I feel so blessed to be married to him! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

WORK OUT

Whew! Glenna Meras kicked my butt today in aerobics. Glenna teaches an aerobics class at our church building tuesdays and thursdays, me and Nicole have been going for a couple weeks now. Jeez the first day I swear I came extremely close to puking. And the sad part is, its pretty basic stuff we are doing! That tells you how out of shape I am. But Im getting better and am able to go farther each time. My goal is to be able to do the whole work out with out having to stop, so that I can be warmed up to start P90X! For those of you who havnt heard of it, its a kick butt work out that has a diet plan for you to do as well. I knew I was too out of shape to start the work out, so thats why I decided to do these classes first. Anyway, Im feelin good, I love feeling like and knowing that I have worked out that day, it makes me feel less lazy!

BIRTH CONTROL

So today I went to the doctor and got an RX for birth control. Im exited and scared at the same time. Anyone who knows me knows that I have suffered for YEARS of horrific menstrual cramps. Ok maybe not everyone knows that. But its true, I do, and its horrible. Well Ive always known that birth control can ease mentrual pain, but for the past 3 and 1/2 years I have been trying to get pregnant, so of course I couldnt start taking it or Id surely never get pregnant. So a couple years ago my doc gave me an RX for Vicodin to help with the pain, which have I mentioned is so bad that it causes me to throw up? Yes, EVERY month! But usually the Vicodin doesnt even put a dent in the pain. So you could say I have pretty much had it up to HERE with being sick every month, having to miss work and being miserable. So Im going to go on birth control for 2 reasons: To give me a break from the pain and sickness, and to help me to get pregnant. Which Im hoping will happen when I stop taking the med. Ive heard stories of people getting pregnant quickly after getting off birth control. I hope to have the same results. Oh and the reason I mentioned I was scared to go on it is cause what if next month is the magical month but I ruin it cause I'll be on birth control.

TIME TO FLY

I think I have been in a cacoon for too long. I am ready to fly now. Im ready to go for the things I want and stop using my circumstances as any excuse not to. I am going to work hard so that I can go back to school soon to learn and do what I love most, MUSIC! I've been holding back for too long on being the person I want to be because for the past 4 years I've just been focusing on making ends meet. And Im TIRED of thinking about BILLS! So here I go, time to fly fly fly......

Valentines weekend

Im trying not to feel sorry for myself while I sit at home and think about my friends and family in California on the trip that we are also supposed to be on, but due to money issues, arent. Instead, Im trying to think about all the things that Im grateful for, which are plenty, but Im trying to weigh the good and the bad and sometimes I feel like its pretty much even. But I guess that makes sense, there is opposition in all things right? Im sure that if suddenly we did have all kinds of money, there would be a different trial in its place. And maybe I wouldnt be able to handle whichever one that would be. So, right now, Im just grateful to be living in Casa Grande next door to my favorite people in the world, my family. For however long it might be for, I will always cherish the time we spent here.
